Tracy’s Marshmallow reindeer and snowmen

Turducken (turkey stuffed with chicken, stuffed with duck), sausage, green salad, potato bacon salad, magic aka O’Brien’s gluten free beer

Ghost pepper sauce tastings (dares). Interestingly, only one of the men at this dinner party tried while most of the ladies did. Verdict? So that’s what anaphylaxis feels like. …it was delightful.

Christmas Eve work pot luck munchies. I brought a marinated bocconcini caprese bites and salami plate. There were no toothpicks, so straws had to do.

Jamie Oliver’s anchovy herb butter from the Jamie at Home Christmas program. Every kitchen needs this in the freezer! (Basil, rosemary, parsley from the garden with anchovies, blitzed in the food processor with butter.) The butter was spread underneath the skin of the turkey, oranges stuffed in the cavity instead of stuffing, red onions in the roasting pan. I then experimented by clarifying some of the butter and injecting it into the meat. After 20 min, heat turned down and chicken stock was added to the pan and constantly basted every 20min. I watched movies with a friend, so it was more like 30-40min. The gravy was made gluten free by using besan flour instead of all purpose.

Jameson, vanilla, rosemary, and raw sugar marinated Boysenberries, blue and black berries baked with a coconut flour-butter crumble for Christmas Day brunch. Served with scrambled eggs cooked in the anchovy herb butter, spinach, and prosciutto

leftover turkey with lingonberry jam and kiwi for late lunch after Skype date with my sister
There were Bellinis, scotch, red wine, pesto dip and cured meats somewhere in there too and I still managed to lose 2 kilos. Take that Christmas feasting!!

Everything looked delicious.
